Carbon dioxide extinguishers are suitable for fires involving flammable liquids and electrical hazards. The non-corrosive and non-conductive qualities of CO2 make it an ideal choice for dealing with fires involving electrical equipment and machinery. The carbon dioxide we use is a recovered industrial bi-product, thereby reducing the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.
We continually try to develop and improve the products offered, an example of which is our 2kg carbon dioxide extinguisher discharge horn. Traditional horns have the potential to cause frostbite to the operators hand if used incorrectly whilst discharging the extinguisher. The new Firemark carbon dioxide horn has been designed to alleviate this effect and has a patented design that improves the fire rating of a 2kg model from 34B to 55B, a 61% increase in performance.
